The CAMPKO refillable gas bottle made of steel is developed for permanent installation in motorhomes, camper vans, caravans or foodtrucks. It has a high safety standard and is certified in accordance with ECE 67R-01. The CAMPKO refillable gas cylinder is installed in the gas locker of the vehicle and thus serves as a refillable camper propane tank. High Quality Automotive ECE 67R-01 Approval. Any re-inspection after 10 years depends on national regulations. In many countries a visual inspection is sufficient. (Please find out about your national regulations).
The gas bottle can be installed individually or as a multi-bottle system.
The collar of the gas bottle is removable, but in most cases the open design of this collar offers enough space to fit a gas regulator or a gas filter directly to the refillable gas cylinder.
The CAMPKO refillable gas bottle is equipped with a multivalve with 80% filling stop and overpressure safety valve and is is available in the sizes 15L, 22L, 30L and 36L.

Thanks to the use of a Multivalve, the tank has its own connections for both filling (filling inlet) and removal (gas outlet). So you can leave the pressure regulator (and any gas filter) connected to the gas bottle while filling. This makes this type of gas bottle extremely suitable for use in campers, caravans and food trucks.
The gas bottle is made of a very strong material that can withstand very high pressures. Thanks to the MultiValve (gas tap) with internal float, the filling level is limited to 80%. The integrated pressure relief valve ensures that the pressure in the gas bottle can never exceed 27 bar.

Tests have shown that when the gas cylinder is placed in a fire, it begins to discharge and gradually releases the gas. The gas cylinder will not explode.
NB! Please note that in some countries (Italy and a number of Eastern European countries) refueling with LPG is not permitted. This may only be done by the pump station staff. Find out about the regulations of each country where you want to refuel.
Where can I refill my Gas Bottle? For example in the Netherlands, gas bottles may not be filled directly onto the bottle at the pump.
A gas bottle must be equipped with an 80% filling limiter, be properly secured in the vehicle and have an external filling connection.
Filling may be only permitted at and by authorized filling stations. This depends on national regulations.
IMPORTANT: The gas bottle is filled with compressed air upon arrival. Release the air pressure in the gas bottle before filling it with gas.
Filling instructions:
1. Turn off the gas outlet (manual tap).
2. Make sure that the filling pipe with external filling connection or filling adapter is connected leak-free. (If necessary, use a filling adapter abroad)
3. Connect the filling nozzle to the filling connection.
4. Fill the gas bottle with the desired amount (maximum 80%)
5. Disconnect the filling nozzle and the filling pipe / filling coupling. (Be careful! Some LPG may be released)
6. Open the gas bottle tap again after refueling and before use.
You can choose to optionally order a direct filling adapter (+filling nozzle) or a filling set with outer filler with this gas bottle, which makes it possible to connect the LPG gas bottle to an LPG filling station.
Direct Filling adapter with on the one hand a 1/2" UNF connection for the filling inlet of the Multivalve and on the other hand with internal W21.8 thread for connecting filling nozzles of different types for different locations. This is a brass adapter that you can screw directly onto the gas bottle and on the other end of which there is a connection with an internal W21.8 thread. A foreign filling nozzle can be screwed on to this. (Order optionally)
Optional LPG filling set for gas cylinder with outer filler and 3m filling line
With this set you can fill the gas bottle without removing the tank from the vehicle. You can fill the tank using an external filling connection and a pipe. The filling set consists of a female 1/2" UNF coupling for the filling inlet of the gas bottle, which then connects to a thermoplastic pipe (3 m in the normal filling set and 4 m in the double filling set) that can be cut to length. the other end of the pipe connects to the external filling connection via a same 1/2" UNF coupling, which can be fixed in the bodywork or under the vehicle. This filling connection has an internal W21.8 thread into which a filling nozzle can be screwed, such as a bayonet (NL, UK, etc.) or another type of filling nozzle for other countries (optional).

TIP! The thermoplastic pipe can be shortened to the desired length. Use a good, sharp hose cutter or a cutter for this. Cut the pipe neatly straight.

Gas Bottle with OPD-tap:
An OPD GAS BOTTLE has only one connection for both filling the gas bottle and for releasing the gas. Just like you refill a water bottle and then drink from it again.
So you must first fill the gas bottle and then disconnect the filling connection and then you can connect a pressure regulator (or a high pressure hose) to the gas bottle again.

Gas Bottle with MultiValve
If you are looking for a gas bottle to apply on a fixed location (for example in your camper or caravan) and you do not want to have to change the connections (from filling to extraction and vice versa), then using a MULTIVALVE GAS BOTTLE may be a better option for you. This type of gas bottle has its own filling inlet (with 80% filling stop) and a separate gas outlet to which you can permanently keep the pressure regulator or high pressure pipe or high pressure filter connected.
This type of gas bottle has the following features:
- Own filling connection (1/2" UNF Flare) with internal float with 80% filling limiter.
- Overpressure valve that opens and blows off if the pressure in the tank becomes too high (26 bar).
- Tank float with tank level indicator
- Hand tap for opening/closing the gas supply

- Always keep the gas bottle upright. (with the tap above)
- Do not drop the gas bottle, as damage may occur to the bottle or the couplings.
- Do not store the gas bottle near an open flame.
- Do not use or store below ground floor level. Leaked gas will accumulate at a low level.
- The storage space must be well ventilated to the outside area.
- Do not use tools to open the tap.
- Gas bottles and pressure regulators are equipped with a pressure relief valve, for this reason these parts may not be placed inside (the living space of) a camper or caravan. These serve in a ventilated space that is connected to the outside air and not connected to the indoor space.
- Check the hoses regularly and see if the cylinder is properly secured. If the hoses are damaged or show signs of wear, replace the hoses (use the correct quality hoses).
- Follow the NPR-2577 guidelines or your national guidelines
To secure your gas bottle in your camper, caravan or food truck, mounting straps are often already present. But these are generally not very strong and safe. Instead, we recommend that you use a sturdy MOUNTING BRACKET or several brackets that secure the gas cylinder(s) properly and securely in the vehicle.
Mounting brackets
The pressure in the gas bottle varies from 1 to 20 bar (depending on the temperature), but this is in any case too high for the equipment you want to supply with gas (BBQ, burner, gas stove, etc.). It is therefore always necessary to reduce the pressure to a constant low pressure (30 - 50 mbar). This is done using a pressure regulator that is connected to the outlet of a gas bottle (directly or with the intervention of a high-pressure gas hose or -pipe and/or high-pressure gas filter).
After reducing the pressure using a pressure regulator, the gas can be further distributed in the vehicle (camper, caravan or food truck) to arrive at the various gas equipment. For example, the products below can be used for this. think of pipes, distribution valves to be able to branch and shut off the gas. But also quick-couplings for making an outer connection.
Tip and advice! Preferably keep the low-pressure pipes as short as possible to prevent possible pressure drops. This way you ensure that each part receives sufficient gas. For longer distances, preferably use a pipe with the largest possible internal diameter (for example type XD-5).
Ensure that the low-pressure pipe is properly secured in the vehicle using pipe brackets. Only the last part of the route may be carried out with a flexible rubber gas hose and should not be longer than 1 meter.
In any case, always follow the national guidelines (NPR-2577 Guidelines).
