This type of LPG Reducer is the most suitable and most used on American classic cars.
Equipped with a primer button to facilitate gas starting.
Application: For American classics with a V8 engine of the brands; Chevrolet, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Cadillac, etc. to run on LPG in combination with an IMPCO mixer.
The IMPCO Model E is a refrigerant heated two stage regulator/reducer. Model E offers a choice of two negative outlet pressures. A blue secondary spring to provide a -1.5" w.c. (0.37 kPa) output and an optional orange secondary spring provides -0.5" w.c. (0.12 kPa) output. A manual primer is standard on Model E.
Standard coupling set:
- 1x Brass coupling piece 2x 1/4" NPT-Male for gas valve
- 2x angled water connection 3/8" NPT
- 1x angled gas hose connection 1"
Extra Coupling: 1x Angled Brass Coupling Piece 1/4" NPT-Male x 1/4" NPT-Female (option.)
Gas valve: According to RDW regulations, it is mandatory to use an LPG gas shut-off valve for the LPG input of the reducer. So that the LPG supply can be shut off if the engine fails or runs on petrol. The VALTEK Type 06 is used for this because of the large flow capacity and the 1/4" NPT connection.
Correct Installation!
Have this Product installed by a competent person or specialist company!
NB! Place this type of reducer in the same position as the wheels of the car, i.e. the flat surface of the main reducer diaphragm faces the direction of travel. Then the braking forces have the least effect on the operation of the reducer.
