Application: For Liquid LPG from the LPG Tank. For Cars with a power of up to over 300 hp. (For stronger motors we recommend using a larger diameter such as type XD-5). Can be used instead of copper LPG pipe with outer diameter Ø8mm. Has the same internal diameter as 8mm copper.
Outer diameter pipe connector: Ø8mm
Outer diameter of plastic gas pipe: ≈ Ø10mm
Inner diameter plastic gas pipe: ≈ Ø6.5mm
ONLY USE CORRESPONDING TERMINAL COUPLINGS OF LPG-FIT TYPE XD-4
This product is supplied excluding the end couplings. You can order these optionally. Please find the related products on this page. The corresponding Terminal couplings fit most 8mm compression connections of evaporators, gas valves, multivalves, quick-closing valves, etc. But there are also associated terminal couplings that fit on an electric tank extraction valve (5/16"UNF).
Thermoplastic LPG flex pipe has many advantages over a copper pipe. That is why for the last 10-15 years almost only plastic LPG pipe has been used for LPG installation.
Advantages compared to copper at a glance:
- Much easier to assemble as it is more flexible and resilient. (A copper pipe does not spring back and can kink quickly)
- Very safe and has an LPG approval 67R-01
- Cannot easily kink or be crushed, like copper pipe can, for example by mistakenly having had a jack underneath it.
APPLY THE CORRECT ADDITIONAL COUPLINGS!
A plastic LPG flex pipe is not connected directly to an LPG part, but coupling pieces are used on the ends of the pipe. These come in different shapes and sizes. There are also several types of plastic LPG pipe available. There are different diameters, but also brands and types of connectors. Make sure you use the correct one for your application in combination with the correct coupling pieces on the ends of the plastic pipe. Together with pipe you can choose which type of coupling pieces and how many you want to optionally order. Use the correct couplings depending on the type of connection to the LPG component and the available space.

Pipe can be shortened: The plastic flex pipe can be shortened to the desired length. Use a good sharp hose cutter or else a hose cutter for this. Cut the pipe neatly straight.
General safety advice for LPG Pipe:
- The LPG pipe may not be placed close to heat sources (for example an exhaust pipe). Maintain a minimum distance of 10 cm. Or use a heat shield.
- The LPG pipe may not be placed lower than the lowest point of the vehicle. In other words: At a distance of 15 cm from the pipe, there must always be a fixed part of the vehicle lower down. This rule prevents the pipe from touching the road surface.
- LPG pipe must be attached to non-moving (fixed) parts of the vehicle by means of pipe brackets. The maximum mutual distance between the pipe brackets must not exceed 40 cm.
- Consult the RDW guidelines or the guidelines of your national authority.
Related Compression Rings and Swivels
You can optionally order compression rings and union bolts for the pipe couplings. These slide over the pipe of the coupling piece and serve to seal the connection to the LPG part. Just like with a straight copper pipe. There is often already a union and a compression ring on the LPG parts (gas valve, multivalve, pressure regulator). A compression ring deforms when tightened and can then no longer be transferred to another coupling piece.
