This type of filter is used in both Vapor gas applications and in LPG systems (IMPCO) for filtering Liquid LPG and to have an extra LPG supply / buffer.
Applicable to:
Filtering of LPG (Propane / Butane) under high pressure (tank pressure) (until 26 bar) positioned in the LPG piping from the tank towards pressure regulator / reducer.
- Suitable for Liquid LPG
- Suitable for vapour gas from a vapour tank of gas bottle.
Replace the filter element (F-701-KN-2L REPAIR KIT) after 2 years of use or 2000 hours of use.
Vapor gas filtration: This type of LPG filter is often used in Campers or Caravans for the LPG vapor gas piping. It is suitable for both high pressure and low pressure. In vapor gas applications, it is used to capture any paraffin and particulates to prevent them from entering the pressure regulator and subsequent components.
Liquid LPG Filtering: It is also often used for filtering liquid LPG in LPG systems (IMPCO) in cars. In this case, place the filter in front of the evaporator inlet. In this way, the filter also acts as a buffer/storage pot in the event of a sudden decrease in gas (eg during acceleration).
NB!
Place the filter in the correct position so that the detachable cup is at the bottom and the pipe connections and fixing points are at the top. In this way, the filter works best and dirt and paraffin (fats and oils) are well captured and remain there. The filter is used in the high-pressure range (i.e. after the gas bottle / vapor tank and before the pressure regulator). Pay attention to the flow direction. This is indicated by an arrow on the gas filter.
The internal filter element must be replaced with a new filter element after 800 liters (measured in liquid LPG litres). Clean the inside of the filter housing with a degreasing agent, such as brake cleaner. Make sure the system is completely depressurized before disconnecting and opening the high pressure filter to replace the filter element.
NB! Make sure the system is completely depressurized before opening the LPG evaporator to replace the filter element.
TIP! Preferably replace the wet gas filter every 60,000 km to prevent clogging and unnecessary pollution.
