The CAMPKO refillable gas bottle made of steel is developed for permanent installation in motorhomes, camper vans, caravans or foodtrucks. It has a high safety standard and is certified in accordance with ECE 67R-01. The CAMPKO refillable gas cylinder is installed in the gas locker of the vehicle and thus serves as a refillable camper propane tank. High Quality Automotive ECE 67R-01 Approval. Any re-inspection after 10 years depends on national regulations. In many countries a visual inspection is sufficient. (Please find out about your national regulations).
The gas bottle can be installed individually or as a multi-bottle system.
The collar of the gas bottle is removable, but in most cases the open design of this collar offers enough space to fit a gas regulator or a gas filter directly to the refillable gas cylinder.
The CAMPKO refillable gas bottle is equipped with a multivalve with 80% filling stop and overpressure safety valve and is is available in the sizes 15L, 22L, 30L and 36L.

Tank Certificate & Approval documents
Attention! With every new LPG cylinder, a Certificate is included. This is a small document (usually A5 size) and is attached to the box or to the cylinder itself using a transparent envelope. This certificate contains information such as the approval, the production date, and the serial number. This document is unique, specific to your cylinder! It is very difficult to obtain again, since it can only be issued by the manufacturer by a special procedure. So keep this document well and don't loose it! You may need it during the inspection of your installation.
Under the "Downloads" tab, you will find the general approval document for this type of cylinder (this diameter). This document indicates, among other things, which directives this type of cylinder complies with, its classification, its approvalnumber, and which laboratory issued the approval. (This general approval document does not replace the earlier mentioned certificate!)
This type of LPG gas bottle produces LPG gas (Propane and Butane gas), which is used as an energy source. The gas cylinder with Multivalve with integrated OPD (Overfill Protection Device = 80% filling limiter) is designed and intended for use as a refillable stationary gas cylinder for the use of gas (not suitable for gas extraction in liquid form).
The gas cylinder is particularly suitable as a mobile storage of LPG for use in various trades, construction work and camping and leisure activities, etc.
Thanks to the use of a Multivalve, the tank has separate connections for both filling (filling inlet) and removal (gas outlet). So you can leave the pressure regulator (and any gas filter) connected to the gas bottle while filling.
The gas bottle is made of a very strong material that can withstand high pressures. Thanks to the MultiValve (gas tap) with internal float, the filling level is limited to 80%. The integrated pressure relief valve ensures that the pressure in the gas bottle can never exceed 27 bar.
Very safe due to the following facilities:
- 80% filling limiter with non-return valve
- Pressure relief valve 26-27 bar
- Antistatic so no electrical discharges
- Outflow restriction
These facilities together guarantee the safety of the gas bottle, making a refillable Multivalve gas bottle much safer than a regular non-refillable gas bottle.
Tests have shown that when the gas cylinder is placed in a fire, it begins to discharge and gradually releases the gas. The gas cylinder will not explode.
NB! Please note that in some countries (Italy and a number of Eastern European countries) refueling with LPG is not permitted. This may only be done by the pump station staff. Find out about the regulations of each country where you want to refuel.
Where can I refill my Gas Bottle? For example in the Netherlands, gas bottles may not be filled directly onto the bottle at the pump.
A gas bottle must be equipped with an 80% filling limiter.
Filling may be only permitted at and by authorized filling stations. This depends on national regulations.
IMPORTANT: The gas bottle is filled with compressed air upon arrival. Release the air pressure in the gas bottle before filling it with gas.
Filling instructions:
1. Turn off the gas outlet (manual tap).
2. Make sure that the filling pipe with external filling connection or filling adapter is connected leak-free. (If necessary, use a filling adapter abroad)
3. Connect the filling nozzle to the filling connection.
4. Fill the gas bottle with the desired amount (maximum 80%)
5. Disconnect the filling nozzle and the filling pipe / filling coupling. (Be careful! Some LPG may be released)
6. Open the gas bottle tap again after refueling and before use.
Gas Bottle with OPD-tap:
An OPD GAS BOTTLE has only one connection for both filling the gas bottle and for releasing the gas. Just like you refill a water bottle and then drink from it again.
So you must first fill the gas bottle and then disconnect the filling connection and then you can connect a pressure regulator (or a high pressure hose) to the gas bottle again.
Position of the OPD gas cylinder tap: Centrally located at the top.

This is a manual valve with an OPD (Overfill Protection Device) that ensures that access is closed by means of a float in the gas bottle when the liquid level reaches 80%. This type of tap is also equipped with a pressure relief valve.

- Overpressure valve that opens and blows off if the pressure in the tank becomes too high (26 bar).

Gas Bottle with MultiValve
This type of gas bottle has its own filling inlet (with 80% filling stop) and a separate gas outlet to which you can permanently keep the pressure regulator or high pressure pipe or high pressure filter connected.
This type of gas bottle has the following features:
- Own filling connection (1/2" UNF Flare) with internal float with 80% filling limiter.
- Overpressure valve that opens and blows off if the pressure in the tank becomes too high (26 bar).
- Tank float with tank level indicator
- Hand tap for opening/closing the gas supply
- Separate gas connection: EN15252: G.12 = W21.8 x 1/14 (M22) (Left-hand thread type SHELL connection with rubber sealing ring)
- Always keep the gas bottle upright. (with the tap above)
- Do not drop the gas bottle, as damage may occur to the bottle or the couplings.
- Do not store the gas bottle near an open flame.
- Do not use or store below ground floor level. Leaked gas will accumulate at a low level.
- The storage space must be well ventilated to the outside area.
- Do not use tools to open the tap.
- Gas bottles and pressure regulators are equipped with a pressure relief valve, for this reason these parts may not be placed inside. These serve in a ventilated space that is connected to the outside air and not connected to the indoor space.
- Check the hoses regularly and see if the cylinder is properly secured. If the hoses are damaged or show signs of wear, replace the hoses (use the correct quality hoses).
