This type of gas valve is the engine vacuum is activated (opened) and also filters the LPG before it goes to the evaporator. When the engine stalls, the engine vacuum is lost and the gas shut-off valve closes automatically. Used in combination with IMPCO gas systems.
Function & Application:
This IMPCO Product serves as a mechanical gas valve that opens depending on the engine vacuum and allows the gas to pass through to the evaporator. Also for filtering the liquid LPG from the LPG tank. This product is usually used in combination with 8mm LPG piping and on IMPCO systems.
EXPLANATIONS : Fittings
Coupling piece 8mm compression: for connecting 8mm LPG pipe by means of a compression coupling.
Coupling piece 1/4" x 5/16UNF Straight: for connecting 8mm copper LPG pipe by means of a flare connection.
Coupling piece 1/4" x 5/16UNF Angled for connecting 8mm copper LPG pipe by means of a flare connection.
Flare swivel 8mm: for connecting 8mm copper LPG pipe by means of a flare connection.
Coupling piece 1/4"NPT x 1/4"NPT: for direct connection to the input of an IMPCO evaporator.
EXTRA INFORMATION
As an alternative to this IMPCO filter, the High pressure filter type F-701-L can also be used, with a more modest price. This filter is also directly equipped with 8mm compression connections, so that 8mm copper pipe can be connected directly to it.
NB! This type of LPG Filter is suitable for 8mm LPG Pipe. Use gas tape (Teflon tape) or a liquid sealant when connecting the couplings to the gas valve / gas filter!
TIP! Replace or clean the wet gas filter (Integrated filter) at least every 60,000 km to prevent it from becoming clogged and from fouling the gas valve.
TIP! Provide the parts with a protective coating such as a transparent tectile, for example, so that they are well protected against water and dirt from the outside.
