GOK Caramatic SafeDrive safety gas pressure regulator system for operating a gas cylinder system in campers and caravans while driving, for direct connection to the gas cylinder.

With the new retrofit solution developed by GOK, existing gas control systems in campers, caravans or vans can be quickly and easily replaced with the Caramatic SafeDrive, allowing gas to be used while driving .

Consisting of:

- mechanical crash sensor with new pendulum solution
- Low pressure regulator with overpressure protection S2SR (ÜDS)
- Hose line - Bracket for gas pressure regulator

Benefits of crash sensor with new swing solution:

- faster and easier commissioning and reset after reaction
- More precise functionality and therefore fewer malfunctions due to incorrect response behavior
- Commissioning is possible without any problems, even if the recreational vehicle is tilted
- easy to install later because the controller does not need to be mounted on the wall; mounting takes place directly on the gas bottle
- Little space required for mounting in the gas cylinder cabinet
- Gas bottle can also remain open permanently while driving
- Greater safety because the gas supply is interrupted immediately at the gas cylinder in the event of an accident
- Medium pressure hose (rubber with textile insert; cold-resistant down to -30 °C; hose dimensions 6.3 x 3.5 mm) G 1/4 LH-ÜM x RVS 10 x 450 mm for connecting the system to the vehicle's supply line
- The stainless steel 10/8 outlet connection is fitted as standard with a transition piece for connection to 8 mm pipes
- Brackets for safe storage of the controller on the wall, e.g. when replacing the gas bottle

Is retrofitting and installation really that easy?

The gas pressure regulator, including an integrated crash sensor, simply screws onto the gas cylinder. The included hose is then connected to the vehicle's line.

In principle, the same applies to the two-bottle SafeDrive PLUS system. All you need to do is screw on two pressure regulators, including a crash sensor, and connect them with a gas hose.

Is it possible to switch to GOK from any manufacturer?

There are no restrictions there. You can remove the old system and retrofit or reinstall the Caramatic SafeDrive. All you need are one or two gas bottles and access to the vehicle's lines.

Why are gas filters or hose rupture protection not necessary?

With Caramatic SafeDrive, the crash sensor is located directly on the gas cylinder and monitors the entire downstream piping system. Therefore, there's no need for additional hose rupture protection. And because the system is directly connected to the gas cylinder, as mentioned, no gas filter is required. This system design has been proven at GOK for decades and has shown no deviations in terms of oily residues or contamination in the fittings.

Where exactly is the crash sensor located?

In Caramatic SafeDrive, the crash sensor is located in the blue housing directly behind the gas cylinder valve and in front of the pressure regulator.

Can I leave the gas bottle open all the time with Caramatic SafeDrive?

In short: Yes, the gas bottle can always remain open and gas appliances such as heaters or refrigerators can also be operated while driving.
