This type of LPG filter is used in both Vapour gas applications and in LPG systems for filtering Liquid LPG and to have an additional LPG supply / buffer.
Gas filtration: This type of LPG filter is often used in Campers or Caravans to capture paraffin (fats and oils) and any other contamination in liquid form or particles in solid form (for example sand or iron) and
Liquid LPG Filtration: It is also often used to filter liquid LPG in LPG systems ( IMPCO ) in cars. In that case, place the filter before the inlet of the evaporator. This way, the filter also acts as a buffer/storage tank in case of sudden gas reduction (e.g., during acceleration).
CAUTION! Place the filter in the correct position, with the removable cup at the bottom and the connections and mounting points at the top. This ensures optimal filter performance, effectively trapping and retaining dirt and paraffin (fats and oils). The filter is used in the high-pressure section (between the gas cylinder and pressure regulator). Pay attention to the flow direction, which is indicated by an arrow on the gas filter.
The internal filter element should be replaced with a new one after 800 liters (measured in liquid LPG). Clean the inside of the filter housing with a degreasing agent, such as brake cleaner.
CAUTION! Make sure the system is completely depressurized before disconnecting and opening the high-pressure filter to replace the filter element.
TIP! Replace the filter element every 800 liters of LPG to prevent blockages and unnecessary contamination.
