When disconnected, the quick couplings close.
Choose the optional coupling pieces to be able to connect with a Shell connection (gas bottle) on the one hand and an 8mm compression (8mm pipe) on the other. Each coupling piece has an external 1/4" NPT thread and fits on both the Male and Female sides of the quick couplings. You can therefore choose on which side you use the male and female.
