You can mount large LPG cylinder tanks with a diameter of 45 cm with these RDW-approved steel tank brackets that are fitted with plastic insulation. These brackets consist of two halves, the lower half of which must be firmly attached to the vehicle and the second half encloses the gas tank and clamps it in the bracket. The insulation material is used to prevent the LPG tank from making metal contact with the brackets, not to be damaged and also to grip the tank properly.
Application: To be used for LPG cylinder tank (LPG vapor tank) with a tank diameter of 450 mm. Use the RDW installation requirements for a correct and safe installation.
Basic Assembly Instructions: Position the lower half of the bracket set so that the outer sides of the tension brackets are within the weld seams of the gas tank. (see RDW certificate).
Fix the lower halves of the tension bracket set to the predetermined location with four M10 8.8 bolts (per bracket). Secure the bolts with class 8 nuts (ISO4032, increased nut height). Position the gas tank in the lower halves with the insulating material between the gas tank and the brackets. Note the mark (cross with arrow) on the gas tank for correct positioning for proper operation of the gas tank. The mark indicates the top and the horizontal center plane. Place the upper shells of the bracket set with insulation over the gas tank on the two lower shells and secure with two M12 bolts, class 8.8. Secure the bolts with two nuts, class 8 (ISO4032, as described above). The tank mounting is now complete.
No weakenings may be made in the bracket set, for example by making a hole in it. Use and respect the RDW installation requirements for a correct installation.
TIP: Provide the entire tank installation with a protective coating as soon as everything is properly fixed. This is particularly important in the case of substructures. This extends the life of the tank and construction. Preferably repeat this annually.
ADVICE: Have the installation of the gas tank and the assembly of the tank frame done by an expert person or specialist company.
