Dekasyl MS-5 can be easily applied with a hand or compressed air gun. For sealing, Dekasyl MS-5 must be applied within 12 minutes (at 20 °C/50% rel. humidity) with a cloth that has been previously dipped in a mild soap solution. Dekasyl MS-5 must be further processed or smoothed with a spatula or putty knife that has been previously dipped in a mild soap solution.

Prevent the solution from penetrating between the joint edges and the sealant, as this will lead to loss of adhesion. This will result in loss of adhesive strength. For bonding, the substrates must be dry within 15 minutes (at 20 °C/50% rel. humidity) after applying Dekasyl MS-5. The higher the temperature,

The shorter the processing time! In general, a 2 mm adhesive layer is recommended if similar materials (with comparable strength) are to be bonded. The greater the difference in thermal expansion, the thicker the adhesive layer must be. At a temperature of 20 °C and a relative humidity of 50%, Dekasyl MS-5 can be applied with most industrial paints after just 10 minutes.
