This part is used in combination with plastic LPG Pipe LPG-XD-4 DN 6 (= Ø8 mm Copper) on an LPG Tank (4-hole) with electric tank tap and / or on IMPCO parts with this type of connection. Cable gland and Oetiker clamp are included.
This type of coupling has a conical Flare connection that ensures the seal on the outlet of the electric tank valve (5/16UNF).
Application: To connect plastic LPG pipe to, for example:
- An electric tank tap 5/16" UNF
- IMPCO connections on the input of evaporators and gas filter.
Fittings: A plastic LPG pipe is not connected directly to an LPG part, but coupling pieces are used on the ends of the pipe.
NB! A plastic LPG pipe is not connected directly to an LPG part, but coupling pieces are used on the ends of the pipe. These come in different shapes and sizes. There are also several types of plastic LPG pipe available. There are different diameters, but also brands and types of connectors. Make sure you use the correct one for your application in combination with the correct coupling pieces on the ends of the plastic pipe.
NB! Check the type of connection on the parts to which you want to connect the LPG pipe, such as the tank, gas valves, etc.
An Oetiker clamp (deformable hose clamp) is used to clamp the plastic pipe onto the coupling piece. This is included. Use an Oetiker forceps to squeeze this clamp properly. See also the images for illustration.
Tip! Apply a small amount of penetrating oil to the coupling O-rings before installing them in the plastic pipe. This simplifies the process.
