This type of gas filter is often used on gas bottles with a Shell connection in vapor gas applications such as Campers, Caravans, Food Trucks, Patio, etc.
Application: Gas filter for the outlet of gas bottles in vapor gas applications (Camper, Caravan, Patio, Food Truck etc.)
Vapor gas filtering: This type of gas filter is often used in Campers or Caravans for the LPG vapor gas piping. In vapor gas applications it is used to capture any paraffin and particles and thus prevent them from entering the pressure regulator and subsequent components.
Use: The filter has a 1-directional effect. In practice, this means that the filter is only used when removing gas from the bottle and not when filling the bottle.
You can screw the filter directly onto the gas bottle and attach the gas pressure regulator to the outlet of the filter, which protects the gas equipment. The filter blocks particles such as sand, iron, but also some fats and paraffins (when vapor gas passes through the filter).
Suitable LPG (Propane & Butane) for high pressure (up to max. 26 bar)
PLEASE NOTE! Place the filter in the correct position so that the screw-on cup is at the bottom and the pipe connections and mounting points are at the top. This way the filter works best and dirt and paraffin (fats and oils) are properly captured and remain there. The filter is used in the high-pressure section (i.e. after the gas bottle / vapor tank and before the pressure regulator). Pay attention to the flow direction. This is indicated by an arrow on the gas filter.
The internal filter element must be replaced with a new filter element after 800 liters (measured in liquid LPG liters). Clean the inside of the filter housing with a degreasing agent, such as brake cleaner. Make sure that the system is completely depressurized before disconnecting and opening the high pressure filter to replace the filter element.
PLEASE NOTE! Make sure the system is completely depressurized before opening the LPG evaporator to replace the filter element.
TIP! Replace the wet gas filter preferably every 60,000 km to prevent blockages and unnecessary contamination.
